EnoughDay exists to answer one question carefully: when is enough, enough? This page explains what the tool is, who builds it, and the principles it is held to.

Who builds it

EnoughDay is built and operated by a small UK development team. It is an independent product: no bank, platform or pension provider stands behind it, and nothing on the site is sponsored.

Questions, corrections and feedback go to hello@enoughday.com. Corrections matter to us more than praise — if a figure or a rule looks wrong, we want to know.

What it is

EnoughDay is a UK-native retirement simulator. It combines a deterministic UK tax engine — income tax including Scottish bands, National Insurance, capital gains, ISAs, pensions and inheritance tax — with a Monte Carlo engine that runs thousands of simulated futures over your plan, so you can see how a retirement date or a drawdown order holds up across good and bad sequences of returns, not just a single average.

Every number shown on the site is computed by that engine from documented inputs. The tax rules carry citations to the legislation and HMRC guidance they come from, and the full method — including its assumptions and simplifications — is set out on the methodology page.

What it is not

EnoughDay is a modelling tool. It does not know your full circumstances, it does not tell you what to do with your money, and simulated futures are not predictions. What it offers is a disciplined way to compare options you define yourself — the decisions remain yours.

Principles

Deterministic numbers. Language models never compute a figure you see — arithmetic is done by tested engine code, and its results are checked against independently derived golden values.

Honest uncertainty. Ranges are shown as ranges. Where the engine simplifies real rules, the simplification is documented rather than hidden.

Private by default. Plans live in your browser unless you choose to sign in, analytics are aggregate, and you can export or delete your account data yourself at any time.
